Join us for a mini workshop in St Louis Shag!
St Louis Shag is part of the three most prominent Shag dances, along with Collegiate and Carolina Shag. It's a territory dance that originated in St Louis, Missouri in the 1930s and is usually danced to uptempo swing music, rock & roll or jump blues. There are elements that may feel familiar, eg we like to describe it as a cross between Collegiate Shag, Lindy Hop & Lindy Charleston. It's super fun, and like the other traditional swing dances, can be easily mixed with swing styles you already know. This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners.
