Description

After the success of the first Soul Lindy Weekend last year, we are back for more soulful grooves and electric dance floors!

Soul Lindy is the perfect fusion of traditional Lindy Hop and Carolina Shag. It's smooth, it glides, and it moves in a way that perfectly reflects the Soul music of the 1960s.

While Soul Lindy has some overlaps with traditional Lindy Hop, it certainly has it's differences too!

In order to attend this weekend's Soul Lindy classes, you should be familiar with 6-count and 8-count Lindy Hop and fundamental Lindy Hop moves like tuck turns, changes of place and swing outs. If you are looking for beginner Lindy Hop classes that will give you this foundation, we run them every Thursday night at 7pm in Garnethill Multicultural Centre from the 18th Sept.

We will also be running a 5-week intro to Soul Lindy every Thursday at 8:30pm in the same venue from 18th Sept; this is not required to attend The Soul Lindy Weekend, but it will definitely help!
